Although there are many baby stores around, what sets BirdiesRoom.com apart is that they put a lot of thought into the store’s products: Where they are made. How they are made. And with what they are made. If a baby product does not meet Barbara’s high expectations in all of these categories, BirdiesRoom.com does not offer it to customers. Barbara says, “We have been continually pleasantly surprised at the amazing products we have been able to discover, and we are so excited to be able to share them with others.”
Barbara says, “We have had many comments on the look of our site, as it is refreshing and colorful, in keeping with our product line. Customers have liked our selection of items, the fact that we are able to hold items in stock and ship quickly, and we do try to offer a high-level of professional, prompt customer service. And now, since we have implemented BV5, we are able to offer many impressive web features, like promotions on certain items, shipping options, and easily updatable pages.”
BirdiesRoom.com initially used another shopping cart. Barbara says, “With our first shopping cart, we were not able to offer different levels of shipping, nor any promotional codes. These two very important features for an online store had to be put into effect through direct contact with customers. Customers missed the flexibility of choices when shopping on our site. We processed all payments once orders were received. It was all very time-consuming, and frustrating. We certainly do not miss those days.”
Barbara says that switching to BV, “has allowed us to handle a growing customer base, as well as more efficiently handle orders. We are able to offer to our visitors many features and promotions, and we get to pick and choose how to handle our promotions. BV offers that flexibility. Order processing has become much more efficient and customers appreciate the updates that arrive throughout the order process.”

Barbara confides, “Birdie's Room is a hobby, or at least it started out that way. It has blossomed into much more, and we certainly now spend more time on it than initially anticipated. Up until recently, we were a one-woman show. With growing business, we have now engaged a few special people to help us out with packing, customer service and promotional services. We are busy but we love it!”
